Michael G. Vuksan, age 56, of Gladstone, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday morning, October 11, 2016, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his three children: Marissa, Erin, and Jared, his sister Linda, and the love of his life, Julia Schroeder.

Mike was born January 25, 1960, in Escanaba, the son of Joseph and Mary (Cosgrove) Vuksan. He graduated from Gladstone High School in 1978 and worked at Mead Paper/Verso Corporation. He had a nickname for everyone he met. Mike loved camping, snowmobiling, the Green Bay Packers football team, riding his motorcycle and spending evenings by the bonfire. He also had a great sense of humor and will be deeply missed.

Daughters: Marissa Vuksan of Arlington Heights, IL
Erin Vuksan of Gladstone, MI
Sisters: Linda (James) Moonan of Friendship, WI
Ann (William) Ramage of Leander, TX
Uncle: Earl (Lynda) McClain of Shelbyville, IL
Aunts: Bernardine Cosgrove of Neenah, WI
Dora (Chester) Fronczyk of Oak Lawn, IL
Niece and Nephew: Jason (Geneva) Moonan and Allison (Jeff) Dowell
Girlfriend: Julia Schroeder of Escanaba, MI
Also listed among the surviving family are numerous cousins and many good friends.

In addition to Mike’s parents, Joseph and Mary, he was preceded in death by:
Paternal Grandparents: Joseph and Rosa Vuksan
Maternal Grandparents: George and Lottie Cosgrove

Mike’s family will receive friends on Thursday, October, 13, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 5:30 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. There will be a time of sharing and closing prayers at 5:30 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mike will be laid to rest at Gardens of Rest cemetery in Wells. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Delta Cancer Society.

    Rest in Peace my friend.sure miss you all the years we worked together starting with Bosk Corp. then you followed me to the Mill and we worked again together in the yard!!! I can still hear you saying DOOBS DOOBS DOOBS. Wish I could be their but, i am in Colorado visting with Family !and I know how important that was to you ALSO!!!!!
