Gladstone, MIMadge L. Grenier, age 74, of Gladstone, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, September 24, 2016, at Dickinson County Hospital in Iron Mountain.

Madge was born October 1, 1941, in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of George and Madge (Harbeck) Plude. She was raised in Grand Rapids and later graduated from Escanaba. On September 28, 1970, Madge was united in marriage to Joseph G. Grenier and together the couple made their home and raised their family in Escanaba. Madge worked various jobs throughout her life, in addition to raising her family. She was an active member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Escanaba. Madge was also a member of the Gladstone American Legion August Mattson Post #71 and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and puzzles.

She is survived by:

Son: William Nowlin
Brothers: David, William, Daniel and Phillip
Sisters: Rose and Louella
Step Daughters: Joann Klodt, Peggy (Francis) Verbrigghe,
Barbara (Robert) Gravelle, Laura (Butch) Johnson, Linda
(Rodney) Phillips Step Sons: Joseph (Melinda) Grenier Jr., Frederick Grenier, David Grenier and Jerry Grenier Madge is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Madge was preceded in death by her parents, George and Madge, Husband, Joseph and Brothers, Joe and George.

Memorial services for Madge will be held on Friday, at 2:00PM, at Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Escanaba, with Pastor Lewis Hague officiating. Luncheon will follow in the Blessed Hope Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting with arrangements.

    Edwina and William, please accept my heartfelt condolences, and know that you and your families are in my thoughts and prayers with the recent passing of your mom.I will always remember her sitting out on the front porch of your home in Escanaba during the summer months, in addition to her compassion and love for you all.
    Your mom was a kind, generous, loving woman who will be greatly missed, however for those who knew her best, she will never be forgotten, but carried in the hearts of all.
    I wish I could express this personally, however please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.
