Ralph Kozak, age 90, of Rock, Michigan passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at his home.
Ralph was born in Gaines, Michigan on October 24, 1925 to George and Margaret (Klepacz) Kozak. During high school he was drafted for World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945. In 1964, Ralph moved to Traverse City where he pursued his career in sign making until he retired. He was known internationally for his creation of Jesus Laughing. His hope was to show the humanity of Jesus. He loved getting testaments from people telling him how Jesus Laughing had changed their lives. Ralph also enjoyed playing his accordion with different groups in Traverse City and sitting in now and then with Hearts of Mercy prayer group at the Marquette Cathedral. He dedicated his artistic talent especially to St. Francis Church in Traverse City. He also dedicated his musical talent playing the national anthem during basketball games at the Catholic school in Traverse City. He was ahead of the steering committee for Michigan Catholic Charismatic Conference.

7 grandchildren
11 great grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews

Brothers: Paul and John Kozak
Sister: Mary Kozak

Memorial services for Ralph are pending at this time and will be included at a later date. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the family.
