8 Tributes for “Mary Ann “Marion” Martens

Aunt Marion will be missed – but she had a great life as she and Uncle Gus were truly made for one another. Our thoughts are with the family. As I told Karen – when I think of Aunt Marion or picture her in my mind I smile and feel good. Great memories to have.

Marion will always have a place in my heart. She and Gus were very good to me all of the years I spent in their home. They were both loving individuals. My deepest sympathy goes out to David, Pat, Karen and Janet.

Dear Karen & Family,With sadness we hear of the death of your beloved mother. I have warm memories of her. She was a very welcoming mother, so I remember that all together we prepared the vegetables for the family diner, on our last visit.
How we collected memories from the great family picture box. I was amazed how well she knew the family across the water? A piece of our memories is now immortalized.
Dear Karen …. Best wishes. Many warm greetings to the family.

Marion and her husband Gus, were our best friends in Rapid River. Marion was always smiling and one of the happiest people we ever knew. She welcomed us into the family, as we rented from them. She and Gus didn’t even get upset when I drove through their garage. She was a fun, special lady and will always be in our heart!Love,
    Dennis and Cheryl Stanek

We will always remember the kindness shown to us by Marion and Gus. When we lost our home in a fire in 1994, they stepped up and allowed us to rent the apartment and stay until our new home was being built. They always were very kind and giving , when I came here in 1973 , I didn’t know anyone and they made me feel welcome from the beginning they were both thought of as wonderful friends and will always be remembered with great respect and love.

My condolences to the family…she will always be remembered for her kindness and big big heart and her smile. She was a sweet soul and has earned her wings for sure..
