Joseph G. Majestic, 85, of Rapid River, passed away Tuesday evening, September 8, 2015 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers with his family by his side.
Joe was born November 3, 1929 on the family farm in Rapid River, the son of Matt C. and Mary P. (Merle) Majestic. He was a 1947 graduate of Rapid River High School.
On January 13, 1948, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was honorably discharged on January 12, 1952.
On April 25, 1953 Joe married the love of his life, Bertha

We will not mourn you Uncle Joe, because we know that you are finally reunited with our Lord and the second love of your life, Aunt Boots as well as all your family and friends who have been wondering what took you so long. My condolences to the Majestic family on the loss of Joe. I fondly remember Joe and Bertha as neighbors when I was in high school and Matt and Carol owned the trailer where my dad and I lived. Bertha was so sweet about helping the Memorial Queen candidates prepare in May 1990.
