Please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing of Carrie. I met her briefly at Grace church. She seemed lie a beautiful loving human being. Again I am deeply sorry for your loss

The year 2003: At this time in my life I was looking to graduate early from high school and start my career in Athletic Training. I knew Carrie was a Gladstone native who was attending North Park University, my school of choice, for Athletic Training. Carrie took time out of her busy schedule to sit and talk to me about North Park, athletic training, and God’s unfailing love. I now am a practicing athletic trainer, 5 years, love serving my athletes, and do so knowing that Carrie inspired, motivated, and shared God’s plan for an athletic trainer in the sports world. I am blessed and honored to have had Carrie show me part of my path. I will miss her greatly.

Your faith inspired me. I will never forget how you challenged me to think differently and encouraged me to explore my faith during difficult times. I smile because I know you are where you have longed to be. Thank you for being a light in this dark world at times.

To the entire Sailor family, we send our thoughts and prayers to all of you during this heart breaking time. She fought hard and now she can be your angel . Find your strength through your greatest memories and from all the love and support around you. Sending our love ~

I didn’t know Carrie, I met her once at Bill and Katie’s and saw her in many pictures. She had an angelic smile and love for children and life. May the Lord grant you peace in your sorrow. I am so saddened to read of this loss. I was one of Carrie’s 8th grade teachers and remember her so well. Carrie was one of the most gifted writers I ever had the pleasure of teaching.
