I send my love and condolences to Aunt Irene. Uncle Copper was my godfather which I have always been proud to say. Even though I haven’t seen Uncle Copper or Aunt Irene for many years and still think of often. I love you all. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the services.
I only spoke with Copper on a few occations but I remember some of his stories about his time in the South Pacific during the war. I also remember some a summer where it was over 100 degrees in the gravel pit and I watched him brushhog for about 12 hrs a day for the week. One day the front wheel came off the tractor and I cant believe it didnt buck him off. He had it repaired right away and went back to work. I remember thinking, “why is a retired guy working that hard all day for free,” but that is probably why he lived till 89.
Condolences to the Barron family.
