Karen Lee Pratt,72, peacefully left this world surrounded by family on June 4, 2015.
Karen was born on June 20, 1942, the daughter of Hugh and Elsie Harris (Statewide Real Estate). Karen was known for her beautiful smile, the love she had for her family, and her passion for music. Karen taught piano lessons for 50 years and shared not only her love of music, but also her heart and love for life, with hundreds of students. She was an accomplished classically trained pianist; she also sang beautifully and played several instruments. Later in life Karen became a quilter and blessed family and friends with beautiful quilts stitched with love.
Karen was preceded in death by her best friend and loving husband of 30 years, Ray, her parents, sister, Ann, and brothers, Hugh and Herb.
She is survived by her loving son, Lee Mihalic, daughter, Patti Mihalic, stepsons, Ray Jr., Ron, Rick and Russ along with dearly loved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as countless loved ones, friends and students.
A celebration of Karen’s life will be held on the 27th of June, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, at Rapid River Lodge, The Dutch Mill 13149 South 15 Rapid River, MI 49878.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered for a music scholarship fund to be established in Karen
