Trenary, MI
Bruce A. Sischo, age 65, of the Philippines, formerly of Trenary, passed away November 6, 2014.
Bruce was born December 29, 1948 to Ray and Luella (Hoy) Sischo. He was raised on the family farm in Trenary, which he later owned. He married Roberta Lee in 1971. They had two children, Mark and Peter (Tracy). In 1991 he married Jeanine Potvin and she preceded him in death. Bruce retired from his supervisor position at Timber Products in 2009 and later moved to the Philippines and in 2010 married Maria Diot. She survives him. He loved living where the climate was without snow and was not cold.
Family members remember Bruce as a good husband, always happy to spend time with his grandchildren and horses. His grandchildren called him a singing cowboy. He was always ready to take a break and have coffee with everyone.
Including his wife, Bruce is survived by his sons, Mark Sischo of Kalamazoo, MI and Peter (Tracy) Sischo of Oshkosh, WI; step children, Diana (Pete) McIntyre of Gladstone, Robin (Tim) Royer of Wisconsin, Terry (Alan) Augustyn of Trenary, Arnold (Kim) Potvin of Canada and Kaye and Kristine Deligero of the Philippines; sister, Shirley (Don) Powelson of Gladstone; sisters-in-law, Mary Sischo of Marquette and Grace Sischo of Harrison, MI; 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a special friend, Elsie (Clifford) LaLone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Raymond and Bill and a nephew.
He will be missed by many.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, November 20 at 5:30 PM at the St. Rita Catholic Church in Trenary with Rev. Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating.
