Sharon Ecklund, 61, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away October 23, 2014.
Sharon was born on November 16, 1952 in Escanaba, daughter of Frank and Dorothy McIntyre. She graduated from Gladstone High School in 1970. On March 8, 1974 Sharon married Paul Ecklund in Escanaba. They moved to Florida where they have resided for the past 39 years.
Sharon worked at Mease Hospital as supervisor of housekeeping for many years and retired in 1993 due to illness. Her dad passed away in 1999.
Survivors include her husband Paul, mother, Dorothy, brothers, Peter (Dianna) McIntyre, Patrick (Cheryl) McIntyre of Gladstone, nieces, Terri (Mike) Klien of Escanaba, Alychia (Tom) Boggs of Alaska, nephew, Kyle McIntyre of Gladstone, great nephew, Hayden Boggs of Alaska, great niece, Makayla Klien of Escanaba, several cousins, special friend, Ann Miers of Escanaba.
Private graveside services were held on Monday November 10, 2014 at the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes assisted the McIntyre-Ecklund families.
