Marguerite J. Mineau, age 85, of 901 S. 12th Street, Escanaba, MI passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Wednesday morning September 24, 2014 at the Marquette General Hospital in Marquette.
Marguerite was born November 28, 1928 in Appleton, WI the daughter of Grant and Olga (Olson) Olson. She was raised in Escanaba where she was a 1946 graduate of Escanaba High School. Marguerite worked for Michigan Bell (ATT) for 33 years, retiring in 1982 as a Plant Assigner.
Marguerite was united in marriage to Lewellyn F. Mineau on July 22, 1967 at the All Saints Church in Gladstone. They resided in Rapid River until moving to their current location in Escanaba. Marguerite was lifelong member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba where she was very involved. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Her hobbies included decorating her home for all seasons and holidays, traveling, and she was an avid baseball and football fan.
In addition to her husband of 47 years, Lewellyn, survivors include:
Sister: Helen Mae (Gene) Bengston of Crystal Lake, IL
Brother-in-law: Carlton (Jean) Mineau of Gladstone
Nephew: John (Cheryl) Bengston of IL
Nieces: Barbara Dubow and Susan (Kevin) Diebold of IL
And many other Mineau nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews also survive.

To my Dear Great Uncle Wimpy, and numerous cousins, We are deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Great Aunt Marguerite. We seek comfort in knowing she’s now healthy, and happy with our Lord in Glory. We pray peace, comfort and love surround you during this time of grieving. We love you.
