Gladstone, MI
Yvonne Therrian, 96, of Gladstone, peacefully entered eternal life on August 31 at St. Francis Hospital with her daughters and sons-in-law at her bedside.

Yvonne was born on May 3, 1918 in Gladstone to Oscar and Jeanne (Baus) Wilmotte. She was proud of the fact that she was a first generation American. She was a 1937 graduate of Gladstone High School where she was active in the drum and bugle corp. After high school Yvonne worked at the DeHooghe Plumbing Shop and the Frame Factory. During World War II she served as a local Air Raid Warden.

On August 13, 1942, Yvonne married Fred Therrian at All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone. She celebrated 64 years with Fred raising their family. With her family she enjoyed camping, skiing, going to camp in Watson, and traveling throughout the U. S. and Canada as well as to Europe to visit her cousins in Belgium. She also loved having family celebrations at her home. Being a homemaker was her chosen career and her hobbies included ceramics, bowling, ski club, and cheering for the Packers. She amazed herself that at 89 she learned how to use a computer. Yvonne was a charter member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Gladstone, a member of the Gladstone Senior Center, RSVP and a lifetime member of All Saints Church. Her great grandchildren called her “Grandma T” and she loved having them over to play in her basement workshop and garage.

Yvonne is survived by her daughters Mary Jeanne (Gene) Therrian Van Asten and Patty (Steve) Delveaux; grandchildren Matthew (special friend Julie) Delveaux, John (Jen) Delveaux and Stephanie (Jason) Viau; step-grandchildren Wendy (Patrick) Pavloski, Jennifer (Todd) Englund and Abby (Mike) Summerfield; great-grandchildren Bryce Delveaux, Braelyn Delveaux, Collin Viau and Branden Viau; step-great-grandchildren Carter Pavloski, Garrett Pavloski and Josselyn Englund; sisters-in-law Lorraine Simpson, Vi Therrien and Darlene (Donald) Smith; cousin Marguerite (Frank) Barak; several nieces, nephews and cousins including cousins in Belgium.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Jeanne Wilmotte, a brother, Albert Wilmotte and great grandson, Cameron Delveaux.
