My family has been so blessed to have known “Grandma Marcy.” We will always treasure Marcy for helping to take care of our daughters when they were younger. And we will always remember her for her many talents, selflessness, thoughtfulness, and kind and generous spirit. Grandma Marcy had a great appreciation for kids, and we enjoyed the amusing stories she shared about them.Marcy and her husband George raised three gifted, responsible and compassionate kids who were heartbroken by the difficult, ever-increasing health struggles their mother endured, as best she could, these past 5 years. On September 16, that struggle came to an end, and Grandma Marcy’s sweet soul went to be with our Savior in Heaven. We will always cherish her in our hearts.

I was so sorry to read in the Marinette paper the passing of Marcella. Marcella and George were our wonderful neighbors living across from them on Rader Rd for over 25 years.
I couldn’t begin to count the Saturday afternoons my husband would get a call from George to see if he was interested in a game of pool, and of course he was. I would take a walk over later with our daughters and Marcella and I would always have a nice visit. When George was ill Marcella and I starting walking together, which we continued until she left for California. We walked 3 miles every day, Marcella was a wonderful walking companion and we always had great conversion. I missed her terribly when she moved.
Marcella and George were more than neighbors, they were wonderful friends to us. You can not talk about Marcella without talking about George, I don’t know that I’ve ever known a more loving couple.
I have truly missed having Marcella as our dear neighbor and mourn her passing.

We have known Marcella since 1975 when we were building our house on Rader Road. She was kind enough to let us use her phone when we needed extra building supplies. George and Marcella were walkers and many times when we were outside, they stopped over to talk. They were wonderful people. When Marcella moved to California we e-mailed each other often and when she couldn’t e-mail any longer we continued to send her funny e-mails to keep her spirits up. The Maki’s set an example to all on how a marriage is suppose to be.Marci will be missed. You have our heartfelt sympathy. Hang on to all those wonderful memories of your mom.
