Laurie, Luis, and family: Our hearts break for all of you. No words can really express the sympathy, love, strength and courage we are sending to you. We have the greatest memories of the twins coming to all Toms birthday parties at our house, them sleeping over and trying to trick us with the “twin”thing…Ron being an identical twin himself, always figured them out and that blew their minds!!! Billy has always been a kind, considerate young man and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed. Please rely on each other and all the wonderful memories at this seemingly devastating time in your lives. Again, love and the deepest sympathies from the Hess family.
There is much sadness in my heart when I read the news about Billy. We haven’t seen each other in years but when I think about him, I remember his smiling face and the practical jokes we played at Annual Conference the year we met when when we were teenagers. He had such long hair back then! Sending my best to his family.
BillyWe became friends when we were young as campers and stayed friends as counselors at Camp Michigamme. It is tragic you left this world so young but I know you are at peace now. May your family take peace in knowing you made an impact in this world with your charismatic personality. I know I will never forget the fun times we had throughout the years.
Billy, you are gone, but you will NEVER be forgotten. Every time I would see you out and about, you would give me a hug and ask how Im doing. You were always smiling. You always laughed! You were one of the goofiest people I’ve known. I loved that. You came to my family and I after my dads passing… your kind words and hugs helped more than you know. I know words can’t take away the sting of losing someone you love, but Luis, and family…. I hope at some point that you can find peace.
I will never forget riding the bus with you and Luis. We used to sit in the back and goof off. We have memories of debating (arguing lol) about baseball games and who was going to win. Talking about food and I’ll never forget you promising to cook for me. I wish you would’ve gotten the chance. I miss you bud. You will forever be in my heart.
My heart goes out to Billy’s family and friends. Havn’t been around in years but I have such great memories of Billy with my son. We used to have so many laughs together. May you be comforted to know he was so loved.

Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. May Luis find comfort during this time. Loosing a sibling is difficult enough, but your twin brother is an extremely difficult journey. We will be in touch. We loved having the boys be at home with Boy Scouts and will cherish the short time we had with Billy.
So sad to read of Billy’s death. Especially sorry to know that you are experiencing so many emotions during this time of sadness. One emotion/reality is the aspect of knowing Billy is without pain, trouble and is experiencing the joy of being “home”. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God comfort you and carry you if need be at this time. I will be attending the service.
I recognized the name from my days living in the U.P. from 2002 to 2006. I worked briefly with him at a vacuum sales place. Worked for his mother Laurie at Bankers Life, also a kind woman. I found Billy to be a courteous and talented young man. My sympathys to Laurie, his twin and the rest of his family. Prayers uplifted from here in Texas
I know God has Billy in his arms and may peace be with the family knowing Billy is now at peace. He was a good person, kind heart, and tried to help whenever he could. My heart is sadden and I truly pray for Lus, and the family knowing you have wonderful memories of Billy and will be missing him terribly. My thoughts ,prayers and a hug. Janie (Lundlanders)
My deepest sympathy and my prayers are with Luis and his family. Through my time in Boy Scouts with Billy and Luis I got to know both of them well and there are certainly lots of found memories for me of those days. Since I’ve been living away from Gladstone for some time I only crossed paths with Billy occasionally since high school, but it was always good to see him and catch up. I will definitely miss him and his positive attitude and his friendliness towards everyone he knew.
No words can express how sorry I am for your loss. Hopefully you can find some comfort in the friends and family that surround you. My thoughts and prayers are with you!
