Glenn M. Chroge, age 50, of 10472 M-35, Brampton, MI died Tuesday morning February 3, 2004 at home following a lengthy illness. Glenn was born July 2, 1953 in Escanaba the son of Wallace W. and Kathryn M. (Boyle) Chroge. He was raised in Brampton and attended Gladstone Public Schools. He was a lifelong resident of Brampton and worked in the woods for David LaCosse for severalyears. His hobbies included woodworking and he enjoyed making windmills, swings, wishing wells, and planters for family and friends. He also liked working on lawnmowers and doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include: 1 Daughter: 2 Brothers: Donald (Frankie) Chroge of Abilene, Texas Vern (Vivian) Chroge of Brampton; 6 Sisters: Polly (Keith) Freeborn of Brampton Barbara (Delbert) Gravelle of Rockford, IL Pat Griffey of Rockford, IL Bea (Thomas) Russell of Perkins, MI Sandy (L.J.) Clark of Rockford, MI Susan (Michael) Davis of Gladstone, MI; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by: Parents: Wallace in 1992 and Kathryn in 2002; Sister: Mildred Hunt in 2003; Brother: Kenneth in 1989; 3 Nephews: Gary Chroge in 1987, Tony Englund in 1998 and Shawn Chroge in 1998.
Glenns family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Glenn M. Chroge will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Jonathan Schmidt of First Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow services at Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells. Luncheon will follow at the home of Susan and Michael Davis.
