James M. Larson, age 76, of 6862 Days River 24.5 Road, Gladstone, died Friday afternoon September 10, 2004 at the Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba.
James was born May 24,1928 at his family home, the son of Sander and Bada (Lamberg) Larson, who preceded him in death. He was raised in the Gladstone area and attended the Old Days River schools. James worked for many years of his adult life on the family farm and lived his entire life, on the farm, with his life long friend and sister, Elaine. James worked for the Soo Line Railroad for 26 years before eventually retiring in 1986. He enjoyed gardening, and going to the family camp.

1 Sister: Elaine Larson of Gladstone and their close family friends, Sharon (Doug) Sharkey of Perkins, MI
Also surviving are many cousins and friends.
James was preceded in death by: His Parents, Sander and Bada, 1 Brother: Gilbert Larson, 2 Infant Brothers: Norman and Gorden
Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of James M. Larson will follow at 6:00PM, at the Skradski Funeral Home, with Rev. Jonathan Schmidt of the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone officiating. Luncheon will follow in the First Lutheran Church fellowship hall. Committal services will be on Wednesday at 10:00AM at the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone. Memorial contribution, in honor of James, maybe directed to the Larson Family.
