Cecil Mae Greenwood, age 99, of 600 South Maple Street, Piper City, Illinois, and former Rapid River area resident, died October 5, 2004 at the Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka, Illinois following a lengthy illness.
Cecil was born January 21, 1905 in Carbondale, Illinois and during her childhood, Cecil and her family relocated to the Chatham area where her step father worked at the experiment station. Following her residence in Chatham, Cecil and her family moved to the Ensign area where Cecil attended and graduated from the Rapid River High School. After high school, Cecil married Ray Papineau and the couple made their residence in the Rapid River area where they owned and operated the Tourist Caf
