Arlene L. Ketcham, age 67, of 2713 9th Avenue West, Gladstone, MI died Saturday morning December 4, 2004 following a lengthy illness at the Lakeview Assisted Living in Gladstone where she was a resident for the past 6 weeks.
Arlene was born August 2, 1937 in Ishpeming, MI the daughter of Fred and Ora (Gour) Cayer and was raised in Marquette. She was united in marriage to George Joseph “Joe” Ketcham on April 16, 1966 at All Saints Church in Gladstone and they made their home in Gladstone. Arlene was a member of All Saints Church, Gladstone American Legion Auxiliary August Mattson Post #71, and the 8 et 40 Auxiliary. She was a former 4H leader with her own club in Gladstone. She enjoyed crocheting and making crafts. Arlene cherished her family and always made sure they always came first. She was a devoted wife to her husband Joe, a loving mother to her children and enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband Joe, survivors include:

1 Daughter: Terri (Daniel) King of Gladstone
3 Grandchildren: Brianne Ketcham, Heidi and Amber King
2 Brothers: Paul (Pat) Cayer of Schaffer; Allen (Pat) Cayer of Wautoma, WI
3 Sisters: Barbara Demeuse of Gladstone; Elizabeth “Sis” Russell of Marquette; Marce Dewitt of Creson, Pennsylvania
Numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: Infant Son: George Joseph Ketcham Jr.; 2 Twin Sisters: Loretta Jenkins and Mary Goslin.
Arlene’s family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial Services celebrating the life of Arlene L. Ketcham will follow at 7:00 P.M. at the All Saints Church in Gladstone with Rev. Arnold Grambow officiating. Luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
