Alice V. Murray, age 92, of 10104 S. 75 Road, Rapid River, died Tuesday morning July 5, 2005, at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
Alice was born July 13, 1912, in Galt, California, the daughter of Tom and Lizzbelle (Harmon) Cummings. She was raised and attended school in California. Following her years in school, Alice moved to Hawaii and worked as a telephone operator for the government during the WWII era. Alice met her husband, Robert Murray, during his enlistment in the Navy. The couple eventually married in 1951, in Milwaukee, WI, and relocated to the Rapid River area where they made their home. Robert preceded Alice in death in 1986. Alice belonged to the Gladstone Yacht Club and loved fishing, crocheting and jigsaw puzzles.

In addition to her parents, Tom and Lizzbelle, and husband Robert, Alice was preceded in death by: 1 Brother, 1 Sister: Dorothy Detlefsen, 1 Sister in Law: Lucille Sheedlo and 1 Brother in Law: Clarence Sheedlo
Memorial services celebrating the life of Alice V. Murray will be held on Sunday from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone.
