Penny (Stammer) Bester passed away on October 5th 2025 after a long Illness.
Penny was born August 16, 1954, daughter of James and Mary (Labresh) Stammer in Escanaba Mi. She graduated from Gladstone High School and then attended Bay De Noc Community College, where she earned a degree as a registered Nurse, which was her occupation until she retired.
Penny Married Larry Bester on May 24th, 1986, and they’ve celebrated 39 years together, living most of that time in Lansing Mi.
Penny enjoyed Camping and the outdoors, sewing, screen printing, and being with family and friends, as well as lounging and reading a good book on her patio.
She was preceded in death by her Parents and her brother Patrick Stammer
She is survived by her Husband Larry, Brothers Greg Stammer and Mike Stammer, Sister in law Alice Stammer, and Nephews Mark (Amanda) Stammer, Jim ( Holly) Stammer, Chris (Rebecca) Bester, and Nieces Margaret Deleon, Stacey (Jack) Forbes
Rest in peace, Penny, your suffering is now over. In keeping with Penny’s wishes there will be a small family burial celebration of her Life
