When Wanda and I moved to Rock nearly 30 years ago, little did we know how important three people would be in our and our children’s lives, Carl, Betty, and Steve Nelson. Our three kids were born in Rock and since their grandparents were many of miles away, downstate, a truly wonderful family befriended us, assisted us, and became our surrogate family. They always gave more than they asked or even had. Their true generosity and concern for others shaped our lives and their love of our children and their trips to the “candy cupboard” will never be forgotten.
God bless you Betty.
