Linda A. Heminger-Black, age 77, of Gladstone, passed away at her home with her daughter Alice by her side on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

Linda was born on August 23, 1948 in Coldwater, MI, the daughter of Neil and Thelma (Miller) Heminger. Linda grew up in Litchfield and was a graduate of Litchfield High School. She was an extremely talented artist and crafter and could make or recreate anything she saw. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting, jewelry making, and creating stained glass pieces just to name a few. She also loved to attend craft shows.

Linda is survived by her mother Thelma; daughter Alice Tawney; siblings Paul Heminger Sr., Mary (Clyde) Carlisle, Roy (Michelle) Heminger, and Don (Karla) Heminger; grandchildren Kyle Tawney, Kalvin Tawney, Grace Sinke, and Nichole Webster; as well as numerous cousins.

Linda was preceded in death by her father Neil, sister Sarah Heminger, grandson Allan Dillard, and several aunts and uncles.

Services honoring Linda will be held at a later date.

    I loved Linda! What a great and knowledgeable person. She taught me a ton when we worked together at the flower shop. She always was smiling and happy. Even on the hard days. Rest in peace my friend!
