Geraldine R Roberts was born on January 16, 1931, in Escanaba, Michigan, to Weronica (Verna) Wiwer (Vaver), and Louis Roberts.
Geraldine was united in marriage to Willmore Wellman on July 9, 1949 in Escanaba, just shortley after graduation. Geraldine’s days were filled with love caring for her family. The large house and surrounding yard was full including; grand parents, cousins, uncles and aunts… At the end of the day when her children were settled, Geraldine spent many hours at her favorite pastime, reading. Geraldine and Willmore would be surrounded by children who filled their life with joy. You could call Geraldine and she would have an immediate response asking about birthdays and special occasions for your children and grand children. Amazingly, Geraldine would remember the exact date of each child’s birthdate.

Aunt Gerry may you rest in peace. I have memories that I can look back on of you and Uncle Wilmore and all my cousins when we would get together. From my earliest childhood days until later in life the thing that I will remember the most was your smile. I remember whenever you would say hello to somebody or greet them, your smile just lit up your whole face and you’re eyes seemed to sparkle. You were so kind to me, thank you Aunt Gerry for the wonderful memories.
