I’m so sorry to learn of your loss. Please know that you are not alone. God will certainly be with you. He is “the Father of tender mercies” and the “God of all comfort”. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) He will soothe your hearts. Hold His promises near to your heart. Please accept my sincere sympathies.

Ted will be sorely missed by Delta County and the whole UP community. He was a great SCORE volunteer and his work with for the aging was legendary. It was a privilege for me to have known and worked with Ted.

    Our deepest sympathies Jerry,

Your mother and father were two of the most unique people that we have ever known; everyone they met became instant friends and everyone who met them reciprocated with both friendship and respect. God willing, we will have an opportunity to see them again if we qualify for their Heavenly blessings.

We pray for both your parents and for you as well. We have all been blessed by knowing them both and we all share in your loss.

With warmest memories of our friendship,

    Dear Jerry,

It is with sincere sympathy in the loss of not only your father, but your mother as well. My apologies for not knowing of your mother’s passing sooner.

Eveylyn (Porath) Poquette, and I had just mentioned your parents and you a couple of months back. She and her husband Samuel knew your parents, and were wondering if your parents still lived on 22nd street and such. Course, I had mentioned that they did, and that I knew you from the Barron days with Velma and my sister Shelly.

I too have endured the loss of both my parents. My father on Aug 02, 2004, and my mother on Jul 28, 2006. To me, it felt like a time when the parents stand still, and have to let go of our hand, and allow us to venture the rest of our journey onward alone.

A friend of mine from high school, called me the day of my mother’s burial. She said it best, in how I was feeling…ORPHANED. As she too had endured the loss of both her parents in the last few years.

As I do, I hope that you will allow His Majesty, our Brother and Lord Jesus embrace you with His devine knowing that your loved ones are not depart from you, Jerry. Rather, they are a heart felt beat away within you. Where you are, they too will be. Always.

    God Bless with Kindest Regards,

Dear Jerry, I remember your Mom and Dad very well. I worked for Ted at the store in Northtown as well as at the StoneHouse from 1953 thru college in 1960. They taught me a great deal about cooking and how to treat others as well. They will be sorely missed in Escanaba.

    Jerry,

Sorry to hear about you losing your dad. May extend my sympathy to you. I know it has been a long time since I’ve seen you much less live in the Escanaba/Iron Mountain area. Take care and just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you.
