Kenneth J. DeMars, age 89, of the Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba (formerly of 5718 West Main Street, Wells) died Tuesday evening January 23, 2007 at the Christian Park Health Care Center where he was a resident.
Kenneth was born April 25, 1917 in Escanaba the son of Dona and Anna (Christian) DeMars. Ken was raised in Escanaba where he graduated from the St. Joseph High School. Ken was united in marriage to the former Bernice Mileski on April 27, 1939 in Escanaba and they made their residence in Wells where they raised their 4 daughters. Ken was a conductor for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad and he retired in 1976.
Ken was a faithful member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Wells and the Gladstone Golf Club. He loved all sports, but especially enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers. Ken
