Betty Jean Doucette, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba.
Betty was born December 17, 1942 in Ishpeming, MI. She would later move to Gladstone, get married and go on to raise five children.
Betty spent most of her career at Mead Paper Mill in Escanaba, MI, until her retirement. Betty’s life revolved around her family. She also enjoyed spending her winters in Florida with her life partner, Jim LaChance.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Toivo and Grace Lahti, sisters, Maxine and Suzanne and life partner, Jim LaChance, In addition her two beloved poodles.
Betty is survived by her sisters, Marilyn and Debbie, children, Terri Reagan Doucette, Rick (Patty) Doucette, Laurie Lindahl, Staci Boris, Jamie (Sherri) Doucette, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM with luncheon to follow. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Doucette family.
