I worked with Steve in Manufacturing, in EMS, and teaching. Steve was the kind of man who had a way with people that would make you want to do more, learn more, and be more. As an EMT he was gentle when need be, agressive when he had to, and always caring no matter what the call would be. He always liked his morning doughnut, and cheese curds on Thursday. Steve provide a many of people the encouragement to learn CPR, First Aide, as well as First Responder as well. In our rural area these are all valuable skills while waiting for the ambulance. Steve and I spent time involved in many work related projects, which he always supported the company and its people in the best way he could. He loved riding his Harley, and enjoyed the rural life. As I spent lots of hours at work and in EMS, Steve was very proud of his family and spoke highly and often of them. Jamie and Wil were very close in age to my childrens as well. They would play together when I hauled wood for Steve to burn. Steve and I still kept in touch even though our lives went different directions, and we just spoke Dec. 29th. This certainly is difficult to believe as he just started to enjoy his retirement. He will certainly be missed, my prayers are with Steve and his family.

I worked with Steve as a Clintonville Area Ambulance EMT for many years and what a compassionate man he was, not only for our sick and injured patients, but his fellow EMT’s as well. Steve served the service as the training coordinator and did an outstanding job. Will miss ya Bud.

Steve was a manager at Marion Body Works for many years. He cared about people and always had an empathetic ear for anyone with a problem. His work in providing long term foster care for people with severe disabilites was selfless, and most admirable. Not many people could do that but he did. I’ll miss his easy laughter, and passion for the Packers. Happy trails to you Steve on your Harley in the sky.

Steve::::I will always remember our run around days. Escanaba wasnt big enough, so Fred you and I would head out for other towns to see what was happening. The New Yorker was alot faster than my dads 56 Buick, and the red Plymouth convertible was the eye catcher. So as you head out to other towns, and see whats happening, I will recall those days when time passed with good friends.
