Daniel Carlson, age 51, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 9, 2023, at UW Health University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Dan was born on March 12,1972, in Escanaba, the son of Lee and Linda Carlson. He was raised in Cornell and was a 1990 graduate of Escanaba High School. Dan learned automotive repair and mechanic work at a young age. In his younger years he worked with his Dad repairing and painting cars at home in their family garage. Dan went on to become a Certified Auto body Technician and Auto Repair Mechanic. He eventually opened Carlson Collision in Gladstone where he repaired vehicles for many years. Dan was awarded recognition for his automotive painting talent at a General Motors car show. An achievement he was very proud of. Over the years he enjoyed hunting small game and whitetail deer, riding his Harley, cheering for the Detroit Lions and spending time with family and friends.

Keith (Lori) Carlson

Niece and Nephews: Frank, Katherine and Max Carlson

Dan was preceded in death by:

Maternal Grandparents: Frank and Ellen Carlson

Paternal Grandparents: Clarence and Mildred Carlson

Family will receive friends on Saturday, from 2:00PM to 5:00PM, at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow visiting hours, at 5:00PM, at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone, with Pastor Terri Branstrom of Memorial United Methodist Church officiating. Dan will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.

I remember him coming to my store to buy supplies to help Lee work on cars for years and then in his own shop in Gladstone. May God comfort everyone that knew him during this difficult time.
