Patrick “Pat” G. Stammer, age 70, of Gladstone, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

 

Pat was born on October 24, 1952, in Escanaba, the son of James and Mary Stammer (Labresh). He graduated from Gladstone High School and was a pipefitter for many years at the Escanaba paper mill.

 

Pat was united in marriage to the former Alice Gobert on October 14, 1972. Together they shared 50 wonderful years. He was a member of the All Saints Parish, Sons of the American Legion Gladstone, and the Gladstone Yacht Club. He enjoyed spending time camping with family and friends at Camp 7 and was an avid Packer fan. He looked forward to and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

 

Pat is survived by his loving wife, Alice; children Mark (Amanda) Stammer and James (Holly) Stammer; siblings Mike Stammer, Greg Stammer, and Penny (Larry) Bester; grandchildren Daniel (Brittany) Stammer, Megan Stammer, Chris (Ashleigh) Stammer, and Landon, Carter, and Paige Stammer; great-grandchildren Ella, Lana, and Nora Stammer and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Stammer.

 

Family will receive friends on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Memorial services honoring Pat will begin at 3 PM.

    Alice and family- I am so sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed talking with Pat at the club about his beloved Packers.

    I’m sorry to hear of Pats passing. I had the privilege of working with pat for a number of years at the mill. He was a good coworker and friend, he will be missed. I will keep him in my thought and prayers.

    Pat will be missed! Great guy and always a smile and big hello when he visited the Gladstone American Legion! The S.A.L sends prayers to Alice and Family!

    So sorry to read about the passing of Pat! I worked in the Storeroom at the Mill, so I saw a lot of Pat…and from that I knew he was a great guy Rest in Peace Buddy!!!

    Not easy. But for the hope of Jesus you will see him again. God gave us a memory- keep those memories near and dear, as they will help get you thru. You will also know how blessed you are to be raised by a loving Dad and Mom.

    Alice: I have no idea what you are going thru, I can only imagine. know that we are praying for you. 50 years together! Wow! That in itself is a blessing!

    It was always nice to spend time with Pat and Alice. Watching or “reliving” Packer games was particularly fun. Whenever we encounter fried eggs with lace we will think of Pat. Thank you for including us in some wonderful memories.

    Dear Alice and family, we are so sorry about Pat, and sad that we were out of town and couldn’t attend his service. Was always good to see both of you at the club…always a fun time. I’m sure he will be dearly missed by many. God bless…
