Gloria June Clark, age 96, of Naples, Florida passed away at Lakeview Assisted Living in Gladstone, Michigan with family by her side on December 9, 2022.
Gloria was born and raised in Lake Linden, MI. After graduating from high school, she moved to the Detroit area with her sister, Kathryn to seek adventure and employment. Gloria was able to secure employment at the Dodge Main automobile assembly plant. There, she met, fell in love and eventually married her husband, Harry Clark on May 14, 1949. They were happily married for 73 years. Gloria also worked for Chrysler Detroit Universal and General Dynamics M1 tank assembly plant and retired in 1980 after 30 years of employment. Harry and Gloria built their own home in Allen Park, MI and resided there for 21 years. Properties in Gaylord, MI and Naples, FL were purchased prior to retirement. They were snowbirds for 6 months at each location for nearly 40 years. Gloria and Harry would travel in their 1979 camper conversion van extensively throughout Canada, United States, Mexico and Alaska enjoying camping, backpacking, hiking and canoeing. Harry and Gloria also owned a sailboat. They sailed extensively in the Gulf of Florida with friends from the Marco Island Sailing Club. The sailboat is affectionately named “Gloria J” and is still being sailed by her son Keith in Little Bay de Noc, northern Lake Michigan.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Harry Clark of Naples, FL; son Keith (Laurene) Clark of Gladstone; grandchildren, Christopher Clark of Gladstone, Jessica (James) Cappeart of Suamico, WI and Michael (Samantha) Clark of Wells; her great granddaughter, Kylie Cappeart of Suamico,WI; brothers, Royce (Jean) Paquette of Jackson, WI, Dion (Jean) Paquette of Lake Linden, MI; sister-in-law, Sylvia Alfred of Muskegon, MI and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Yvonne Paquette, her sister, Kathryn and brother-in-law, Don (Rohen) and her brother, Alfred Paquette.

A springtime funeral mass will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden, MI, with her final resting spot being Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
We all will miss her presence with us in body but she will live on forever in spirit in our minds.
