Belinda was born June 29, 1949 in Escanaba, the daughter of Leonard and Joyce (Nedeau) Papineau. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and was the Director at the Three Fires Halfway House and the Delta Halfway House for many years. Belinda was in recovery herself at a young age and through her recovery she was one of the few that started “Tough Love” in Escanaba. She finished her career as a caregiver for her grandson, Jonathan. They were each other’s “rock”, that trusted God and his strength to see them through the trying times and the great times and having faith in the unknown.
Belinda loved her yard, flowers, deck, hitting the sales and going to the casino. She had great memories and conversations on her deck, helping many to lay a good foundation to be built on. Her smile would light up a room.
Belinda’s hospitality nature was to feed, clothe and help many. Bottom line, Belinda touched a lot of people’s hearts with her strong personality, strength and endurance.
Belinda is now dancing in heaven with those that passed before her. She will truly be missed and honored. May we all enjoy and cherish the footprints she has embarked on us. She is a great warrior. We love you.
