One Tribute for “Robin Heppner

Dear Robin: What is this I hear — that you have stopped raking your beach? That you are not going down to Chicago for a Holiday Party this year? That I no longer need to practice ice skating as we did as teens on the frozen Lincoln Park lagoons where you skated so artfully on your figure skate blades while I skidded on my ankles instead of my blades? That I no longer need to try to diet down to fit that fabulous princess-style velveteen dress I wore as your Maid of Honor at yours and Don’s wedding? I hear that you have moved on to that Perfect Paradise with Don and your Mom, forever happy. I’ll see you there, sometime. Love — Nan
