Lucille Audrey Johnivan, age 93, of Gladstone passed away on Saturday,May 14, 2022.
Lucille was born December 12, 1928 in Iron River, Michigan, the daughter of William and Ruby (Linden) Vassar. She was united in marriage to Arnold Johnivan. She was a member of the Gladstone American Legion Post 71 Auxiliary and Sargent of Arms for many years. She enjoyed spending time at the American Legion with her friends, spending time with her family, cooking and was an avid Elvis Presley fan.
Lucille is survived by her children, Gary (Linda) Johnivan of Escanaba, Dennis (Gail) Johnivan of Gladstone, Shirley Pardee of Gladstone, Bonnie (Dan) Cartwright of Rock and Gladys Johnivan of Warren, MI; step daughter, Betty (Louis) Stamp of Omaha, NE and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold, her parents, sons Ronald and Robert, daughter, Mary Gorzinski, step sons, William and Bernard Johnivan, step daughter, Barbara Couillard, five brothers and nine sisters.
The family will received friends on Sunday, May 22 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM. A luncheon will follow at the Gladstone American Legion. Lucille will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery.

I only knew Lou for a few short years, but I was very impressed with her tenacity and speaking her mind. She was a spitfire that won’t soon be forgotten. My thoughts ands prayers go out to her family. RIP Lou
