Dwayne W. Bero, age 79, of Rapid River passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 21, 2022.
Dwayne was born November 6, 1942 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, the son of Willard and Joyce (Bellefeuil) Bero. He was united in marriage to Lois Oman on September 8, 1962.
Dwayne owned and operated Bero Motors in Escanaba for many years along with his father and brothers. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Rapid River, the VFW in Escanaba, Rapid River American Legion Post 301, Rapid River Lions Club, Rapid River Smear League, Lake Bluff Country Club, Whitetails Unlimited, Wildlife Unlimited and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.
Dwayne is survived by his wife, Lois of Rapid River, son, Tracy (Jessie) Bero of Rapid River; grandchildren, Lucas Bero and Riley Gustafson; brother, Robert Bero of Escanaba; sister-in-law, Sandy Bero of Wells and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Bero.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The Bero family is being assisted by the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone.
