William Allen Brunette, age 82, of Gladstone, formerly of Rock, passed away Wednesday morning, March 1, 2017, at his home in Gladstone.

Bill was born February 18, 1935 in Gladstone. He was raised in Gladstone and was the son of Louis and Adeline (Artley) Brunette. On October 15, 1955, Bill was united in marriage to the former Judith Ann Rabideau and together the couple made their home and raised their family in Rock and Trombly. In 2005, Bill and Judith moved to Escanaba where they remained until moving to Gladstone in 2016. Throughout his life, Bill was employed at the Buckeye Veneer Plant, K.I. Sawyer, Harnischfeger Corp., VanDamme French Fry Factory and Richmond Hawley Saw Mill. Bill was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. Additionally, Bill was a hard worker who enjoyed staying organized and keeping a clean, well maintained yard. Bill also enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren’s events.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Judith:
Sons: William (Debra), Gregory, and Michael (Tracey) Brunette
Daughters: Kathryn (Rob) Henize, Sally (Auvergne) Richmond, Susan (Terry)
Royer, Christine (Greg) Trowbridge, and Marie (Todd) Frazer
Brothers: Louis (Irene), Wallace (Iona), and John Brunette
Sister: Sharon (Allen) Lanaville
Also listed among the surviving family are 22 grandchildren, 26, great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Adeline:
Sisters: Virginia Sundling, Shirley Trombley, and Marvel Brunette
Brothers: Melvin, Joseph, and Jim Brunette

Family will receive friends on Saturday, from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow visiting hours on Saturday, at 1:00PM at the Skradski Funeral Home, with Rev. Fr. Brian Gerber officiating. Luncheon will follow at the All Saints Church Parish Hall. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting with arrangements.
