Wesley John Vietzke, 74, of Rapid River and Gladstone, passed away Thursday morning, June 1, 2017 at the Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba where he currently was residing.
Wesley was born July 5, 1942 in Escanaba, MI the son of Werner John and Rose Christina Louise (Mayer) Vietzke. He worked various jobs in the Milwaukee area before returning to Rapid River.
Wes enjoyed walking around town with his walker and sitting in front of the Super Value Store in Gladstone. He was always willing to visit with anybody who would stop to talk. He also loved his collectables.
Survivors include his sister, Babette Adele Vietzke of Rapid River.
Graveside services for Wesley will he held on Tuesday June 6, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Rapid River Cemetery in Rapid River. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Escanaba and Gladstone are assisting the Vietzke family. Please
