Walter W. Trudell, age 74, of 5437 Hwy M-35, Perkins, died Tuesday August 10, 2004 at the Marquette General Hospital in Marquette.
Walter was born March 7, 1930, in Gladstone, the son of Arnold and Mae (Dubrock) Trudell, who preceded him in death. He was raised in the Perkins area and attended the Perkins schools. Walter worked various jobs following his years in school before completing an apprenticeship as a bricklayer/mason. On September 2, 1950, Walter married the former Ruth Johnson in Chicago, Illinois and in 1959, the couple returned back to the Perkins area where they made their home. Walter made his living as a bricklayer for the Local Union #6 of Michigan until his retirement.

Walter enjoyed playing cards, going to camp and hunting. Walter also enjoyed the Chicago Cubs baseball team and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, Arnold and Mae, Walter was preceded in death by, 1 brother, Robert Trudell.

Walter leaves to survive, his wife Ruth Trudell.

17 Grandchildren: Yvonne, Jason, and Daymen Cory, Renee, Craig, Aimee, Allen, Rodney, Jackie, Stephanie, Ryan, Stacey, Brian, Brent, Jessica, Kristy

13 Great Grandchildren

And many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral service celebrating the life of Walter W. Trudell will follow visitation, at the Skradski Funeral Home, at 7:00PM, with Fr. Gilbert Neurohr officiating. Luncheon will follow funeral service.

    Ruth and the entire Trudell family,i am very sorry for your loss. Wally was a fine man and a real joy to be around.Wally was very family oriented and was very proud of you all.I sure will miss him at cards and hunting season, but i;ll miss more the times when i would get slabs or wally would stop at the farm for deer feed and we would try to solve the world problems. he always left me with a smile on my face and looking forward to seeing him again.
