Victoria Mae Whybrew, age 73, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at her home in Rapid River.

Vickie was born August 20, 1944, in Escanaba, the daughter of Howard Joseph and Martha Mae (Randall) Micheau. She was raised in Rapid River and was a 1963 graduate of Rapid River High School. On October 22, 1966, Vickie was united in marriage to John Thomas Whybrew, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Rapid River, and together the couple made their home and raised their children on the Whybrew Family Farm, in Rapid River. The couple spent 52 wonderful years working side by side together on their family farm. John preceded Vickie in death on August 8, 2017. Vickie was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church in Trenary. She was a master canner and enjoyed knitting and gardening. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all.

Katherine (Brian) Hedges of Rapid River, MI
Sister: Sandra Sundquist of Escanaba, MI
Grandchildren: Amber (Adam) Wert, Jace (Chelsea) Dalgord, Michael Hill,
John Dalgord, Deidre (Vinnie) Hill, Jordan (Nathan) Jarvi
Joseph Dalgord, Holli Hill, Taylor Hedges, Hunter Hill,
Weston Hedges and Zachary (Akasha) Pohja Foster Brother: Jon Provo of Wisconsin Sister in Law: Linda Micheau of Rhinelander, WI Also surviving are 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Victoria was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Martha, her loving husband John on August 8, 2017:

Brother in law: Curtis “Corky” Sundquist

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM, at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will follow visiting hours on Tuesday, at 1:00PM, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Trenary, with Rev. Fr. Joseph V. Augustine officiating. Luncheon will follow in the St. Rita Parish Hall. Vickie will be laid to rest next to her husband John in the Rapid River Cemetery following luncheon. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting with arrangements.
