Theresa M. Britton

Resided in Gladstone, MI
Died March 20, 2019

Theresa Marie Britton, age 57, of Gladstone, MI passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at her home.

Theresa was born November 1, 1961, in Owosso, MI, the daughter of Richard and Joan (Zatkovic) Davis. Theresa met Brian, her husband of 37 years, in Houston, Texas, in 1980. Their wonderful life together began. They married August 7,1982. In 1984, they moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where they started their family and began a love of the outdoors. Theresa was an avid fisherman who was the happiest, on the Kenai River, with family and friends in pursuit of the sockeye salmon, halibut in the Gulf of Alaska, and digging for clams along the beautiful beaches. Her very special Alaska friends, Captain Dave & Debbie Hanson, and Rod & Margrett (Sam) Hanson took her boating and flying to remote areas to fish and sightsee. Hunting and fishing were her dream, and she lived it to the fullest. After 14 years in Alaska, the family returned to Michigan where they lived in Gladstone, a new beginning, with family, and new friends. Theresa continued to do what she loved, spending time with her family and being outdoors. She continued her love of gardening, fishing, hunting, and camping. Theresa loved to camp all over in the U.P. Her favorite camping area was Grand Marias, MI. She loved to share memories with all the special friendships made around the campfire.
In addition to her husband, Brian, Theresa is survived by her mother Joan Davis of Tucson, brother Rick Davis of Owosso, MI; sister Julie Guest of Tucson, AZ; son Jacob (Brandy) Britton of Tucson, AZ; daughter Jessica (Matt) Andrus of Green Bay, WI; six grandchildren, Corbin, Gavin, Landon, Kayson, Jameson and Emmalyn.

Theresa will be missed by the many family and friends, whose lives she has touched. In addition to Theresa’s father, she is preceded in death by her loving foster parents Walter and Barbara Krause.
Brian wants to thank all family and friends who assisted him. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Britton family.

I will miss my sister Theresa Marie Britton (Davis) so very much. She could run circles around me in what ever we did. She was there for me with all of the ups and downs with my family and my life. Even though she was my little sister she was always trying to take care of me to brighten up my days, giving me tips on how to handle what ever issues I may of had. I will always remember her for all of her life lessons, brightness and happiness in all she brought into to my life with her being in it. I know she is gardening, fishing, canning, traveling in haven and helping in any way she can. That is the kind of person she was. Theresa you will always be in my families thoughts and in all of our prayers. You will truly be missed Theresa. Love you much Sis.
