Theresa Ann Alexander (Kossow), age 66, of Rapid River, formerly of Brampton, passed away on Sunday afternoon, February 24, 2019 with her loving daughter, son-in-law and grandkids by her side.

Theresa was born May 25, 1952 in Escanaba, the daughter of William and Elva (Fournier) Kossow. She was a graduate of Gladstone High School and worked several jobs as a caregiver before retiring to care for her husband. She was united in marriage to Claude William Alexander on June 20, 1972 and they made their home on the family farm in Brampton where they raised three children. She was a f
faithful member of St. joseph Catholic Churchin Perkins. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, plastic canvas, playing guitar and singing over 150 songs. She was faithful in reciting the Roasary and attending Mass as often as she could.

Theresa is survived by her daughter, Millie (Earl) McNally Sr. of Rapid River; her sons, Claude (Robin) Alexander of Gladstone and Andrew (Heidi) Alexander of Marshfield, WI; grandchildren, Theresa (Glen) Green of Escanaba, Milinda (Randy) Johnson of Rock, Earl (Rachel Newton) McNally Jr. of Bark River, Breanne (Mitch St. Amour) McNally of Escanaba, Brittany, Joseph, Zachariah and Mary McNally of Rapid River, Claude, Jonathan and Julie Alexander of Milwaukee, WI, Anthony (Michelle)Trepasso of Crystal Falls, Caleb and Quinton Alexander of Marshfield, WII; step-grandchildren, Michael, William and Maria Mulligan of St. Clair, MI; great grandchildren, Hailey, baby boy Trepasso, Glen, Lawrence and Elizabeth Green, Melissa, Juliette and (Christmas Baby) Johnson, Amelia McNally, Toby, Autumn and Molly St. Amour.

In addition to Theresa’s parents, grandson Matthew Michael Alexander and Christmas baby, she has left this earth to be with her loving husband, “Tyke” of 44 years for all eternity.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 7 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins with Fr. Joseph V. Augustine officiating. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. Theresa will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.

    Aunt Threasa was an amazing person she was always put her children and grandchildren first in everything they did weather it was a sports or other activities
    She was there when we were young also I remember her at our track meets giving us encouragement to run faster and always said she was proud of us no matter what place we took.
    I loved seeing what she was crocheting weather it was hats or matching mittens and scarfs.
    I will miss her singing with her guitar toall the old songs . Her meals she cooked and her laughing at the little things we did.
    Rip Aunt Theresa you will always in my heart and memories I have of you. Now you are no longer in pain but with all your family who have passed away. You will be forever missed.

    Many Blessing to the family Grandma Theresa. You will always have a very special place in my heart for taking in our Rachel as your Granddaughter. Rest in peace.

    Theresa I will miss you. You were a very sweet lady that i got the pleasure of know over the years. You won’t ever be forgotten

    I am sorry to hear about your loss. I always remember her and all the family coming to all the picnics that my grandma Mona and grandpa Harvey Fournier
    Would have when Laurence and France would come up. And they would play guitar and sing. And all of us kids would be playing in the play house with Anita and we would dress up my cats for are baby’s and she would just love how my cats would let me dress them. She sure will always be in my heart and so will all of her family. I love you guys.

    Theresa was a special lady who will be greatly missed by family and friends. She was the sweetest cousin anyone could ever ask for. She always had a smile and a hug to share. We’ll keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

    She is and will forever be my beautiful ray of sunshine. She would always want me to watch these unique painting videos and always said I was just as talented and told me that I should start painting. She would always sit in the living room with me and watch Strange Magic because we both loved the songs on there. She would always kiss me and my brothers and sisters when she was just walking to the bathroom. She will forever be missed. She truly is the most beautiful person in the world. She was loved by a lot of people and always made people feel like family (even if they weren’t). She loved purple and my grandpa (her husband) always told her she looked good in purple as well. She always loved to sing an play guitar and was extremely good at it. She even made up a lot of her own songs and even sang about me getting my ears pierced. She truly is the best. She was beautiful, talented, unique, and just overall the best person you could’ve know. I’m just grateful I get to call this amazing, beautiful person my grandma. I will love and cherish her forever. ♥️Forever in my heart
