Stephen Alan Lippens

Resided in Gladstone, MI
Died June 18, 2019

Stephen Alan Lippens, age 62, passed away Tuesday evening, June 18, 2019, at his home in Gladstone surrounded by his loving family.

Steve was born September 29, 1956, in Escanaba, the son of Bennie and Theresa (Genisse) Lippens. He was raised in the St. Nicholas area and was a 1974 graduate of Rock High School.
Following high school, Steve went to work for Snowden Inc. Even though Steve had acquired his Water Treatment degree from Bay de Noc Community College, he spent 40 years with Snowden working as a foreman on the road construction crew. On May 5, 1990, Steve was united in marriage to the former Sherrie Sitko, at St. Joseph Church in Perkins, and together the couple made their home and raised their only daughter Mallory, in Gladstone.

Steve loved the outdoors. Whether it was cutting wood with his friend Bennie, going to camp with the guys, riding his 4-wheeler, snowmobile or Harley, Steve enjoyed every moment spent outside. He treasured his loving family and will be deeply missed by those he loved.

In addition to his wife Sherrie, Steve is survived by:
Daughter: Mallory (Chris) Micheau
Brothers: James (Bonnie) Lippens and Thomas (Beverly) Lippens
Sisters: Sharon (Jerry) Maki and Vicki (Tony) Demeuse
Father in law: Billy Goard
Brothers in law: Donald (Cathy) Radlein and Tim (Julie) Goard
Sisters in law: Karen (Dan) Sitko and Pam (Brian) Green
Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Theresa, step mother Mary Lippens, sister Carol Jean Radlein and mother in law Barbara Goard.

Steve will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery following funeral services. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting with arrangements.
