Sheila Ann (Hudson) Sanville, 48, of 5486 Rivers 22nd Road, Gladstone, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 11, 2015, after a hard fought battle with lung cancer. Family and friends at home surrounded her.

Sheila was born on September 8, 1966 and grew up in Ford River, daughter of John and Carol (Carlson) Hudson. Sheila and her sister Cherie spent many happy hours horseback riding, snowmobiling and swimming at their grandparents Edwin and May Carlson, who lived only a mile away.

Sheila taught in the AWANA program at Bark River Bible Church and earned a Timothy Award as a child. Later she became a Sunday School Teacher. She was a current member of Grace Church.

Sheila attended Escanaba High School where she trained to become a cosmetologist. She worked for several shops including The Lions Den and the The Other Place. She went on to Northern Michigan University and graduated with a degree in Computer Science. She taught at Big Bay De Noc and North Central Area Schools. Sheila was the National Honor Society Advisor for both schools and Key Club Advisor at North Central Area Schools.

Sheila married Edward Sanville on July 24, 1999, who shared her Harley Davidson Motorcycle hobby. Both enjoyed skiing and 4 wheeling.

Sheila was a loving mother to their son Brody, always enjoying his sports activities, including snowboarding, downhill skiing, horseback riding and camping. Sheila enjoyed her pool league and ran cross-country.

Survivors include husband, Edward Sanville, son, Brody, parents, John and Carol (Carlson) Hudson, sister, Cherie (David) Granquist, nieces, Amber (Charles) Liikola and Brooke Granquist, grandmother, May Carlson, and many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
