I had the privilege of working with Dick, at the USGS, for many years. Dick was our go-to guy for innovative solutions for unusual issues at our gauging stations. I enjoyed my years working with him and am sorry to hear of his passing.

    Tonya and Yvette,
Your dad was always looking forward to seeing my grand children. He loved to give them all kinds of goodies. They loved both of your parents very much. It wasn’t a normal Saturday afternoon if they didn’t get to see Dick and Judy.

Dick and Judy were true friends and great neighbors to my parents. They will be missed so much but now they are back with my parents doing what they do best…being great friends.

Big hugs to both of you and keeping the whole family in my thoughts and prayers.

Tonya and Yvette, What can I possibly say that hasn’t already been said about your dad. He was one in a million and I will miss him. Tonya, we have been through a lot with our dads. They were the best of friends and neighbors. They reminded me of the grumpy old men movie, except they weren’t grumpy. When the two of them got together, you could usually expect some mischief. Like when the 2 of them decided to take down a tree in dad’s front yard. They loved mowing their yards, and if one had the mower out, you could always expect to see the other too. I am so glad and privileged to know “tricky Dick from across the crick.” Love you both.

Tonya and Yvette, your dad was a very special guy and he was loved by many people, always smiling and just a happy guy. So sorry for your loss but he is happy now and it is us that are left behind that are sad. Think of all the good memories with him and it will help. Stay strong and you will be in our prayers. Tim
