Patricia Rose Schomin, age 86, of Escanaba passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers.
Patricia was born May 21, 1930 in Escanaba, the daughter of Nicholas and Permelia (Villeneuve) Wagner. She graduated from the St. Joseph High School in 1948. She was united in marriage to Anthony Schomin Sr. on October 29, 1948 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Joseph and St. Patrick Parish and primarily enjoyed being a mother and wife along with sewing, reading and traveling with her husband visiting family around the country. Patricia was a hard working loving homemaker and family was extremely important. She welcomed visitors to her home anytime when they were passing through to enjoy amazing cooking baking, and humor and share stories. At one time she worked tediously handmaking 100’s of Quillows and sweatshirts for her kids, grandkids and friends

Patricia is survived by her children, Tony (Donna) Schomin Jr. of Escanaba, Tim Schomin of Rockwall, TX, Peter (Becky) Schomin of Kaukauna, WI, Vicki (Dan) Mullin of Escanaba and Kris (Scott) Shield of Green Bay, WI; fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; her brother Michael (Sharon) Wagner of Escanaba; brother-in-law, Harold Olson of Escanaba; sister-in-law, Betty Wagner of Bark River and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister, Susan Olson and her brother, Richard Wagner.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 13 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 5:00 PM at the St. Joseph and St. Patrick Parish with Rev. Fr. Eric Olson officiating. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. Patricia will be laid to rest in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
