2 Tributes for “Michael L. Creten

Sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. My condolences to Joyce, Chris, and Ann, and the rest of the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I first became friends with Mike during the training phase for the startup of Mead’s No. 4 paper machine in 1982. Mike was a member of the original startup crew working as stock prep operator. Mike was always ready with a big smile to be followed by a hearty laugh. He was a pleasure to work with and did his job with competence and reliability. After his retirement from Mead, I would occasionally bump into Mike somewhere downtown and we would reminisce about days in the paper mill. You were one of the good guys, Mike. Rest in peace.
