Mary Colleen King, age 60, passed away unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack, early Saturday morning, February 23, 2019, at U.P. Health System in Marquette.

Mary was born October 6, 1958, in Escanaba, the daughter of James and Beverly (Frazer) Farrell. She was raised in Gladstone and was a 1976 graduate of Gladstone High School. On November 13, 1992, Mary was united in marriage to Randy King and together the couple made their home and raised their family in Escanaba.

Mary had a heart of gold and gave her entire life to her family. She enjoyed gardening, camping and spending time with her grandchildren, pets and many friends. She will be deeply missed.

Daughters: Kaylee and Kassie King
Son: Randell King
Step Daughter: Angela King
Grandchildren: Landen Martinucci, Deziray Klotz, Adryan King,
Conner McClellan, Destini Lindstrom,
Hunter Dougherty, Ryder King and Dails King
Sister: Laurie (George) Nelson
Nieces: Kara Vanells and Kelsey (Brian) Mullin
Great Nieces: Alyssa, Madeline, Brooklynn and Jayden
Brother in Law: Perry (Georgette) King
Also surviving are Mary’s additional nieces, nephews and a baby niece/nephew on the way, along with her many loving family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, James and Beverly.

Mary’s family will receive friends on Thursday, from 1:00PM to 3:00PM, at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services, to celebrate the life of Mary Colleen King, will follow visiting hours on Thursday, at 3:00PM, at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone, with Pastor Aaron Anderson officiating. A luncheon gathering will follow. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting with arrangements.

    Auntie Mary, this hurts my heart to even have to write this, thank you for all you did for us growing up and always being there for me to vent to when mom (your sister) and dad were pissing me off and making me laugh until I forgot what I was upset about to begin with.     Mary was a sweet and loving person, she lived for her children and was happy to be just Mom. I know that she is at peace with God now and may He help her family in their time of sorrow and need. She will be so greatly missed, that little girl from next door, Bev and Jim’s little one with the huge heart who is gone too soon.

    I am so very sorry for your loss Mary was a wonderful lady. i went to ccd classes with her.knew her family from St> Anthony church.she was my sisters best friend (Jean Helgemo)so when i would come up to see my family we would go to bingo together. may Mary R.I.P.
