Margaret “Margie” Louise Caswell, age 69, of Gladstone peacefully passed away on January 3, 2017 at the UP Health System in Marquette.
Margie was born October 25, 1947 in Munising, the daughter of Victor “Buzz” and Edythe (Proehl) Brisson. In 1966 Margie graduated from the Eben High School and in 1984 she graduated from Bay de Noc Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Business Degree. She worked for 17 years at Harnischfeger until they closed and 20 years as a receptionist at Great Lakes Podiatry in Escanaba for Dr. Dennis Leveille. Margie was united in marriage to Albert A. Caswell on May 10, 1976 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins.

She was actively involved with her church, St. Martin Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rapid River. Margie loved her family, friends, teddy bears and animals. She touched many lives with her beautiful smile and upbeat attitude and was generous beyond belief.

Margie is survived by her mother, Edythe Brisson of Limestone, MI; her siblings, David J. (Linda) Brisson of Limestone, MI, Nancy L. (Dan) Sluys of Byron Center, MI, Carol L. Brandon of Michigan City, IN, James L. Brisson of Christmas, MI, Anne M. (Mike) Rasmussen of Spruce, MI, George S. (Joan) Brisson of Munising, MI and Mary V. Noga of Three Oaks, MI; best friend, Caren (Bossom) West of Gladstone, MI; cousin, Diane (Williamson) Corbett of Gladstone, MI; brother-in-law, Edward (Vicki) Caswell of Brampton, MI, sister-in-law, Sue Laraby of Brampton, MI several aunts, nieces and nephews and cousins, and the staff and residents at Lakeview Assisted Living in Gladstone.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her father.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 7 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will be at 5:00 PM with Pastor Phil Paustian officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Gladstone Senior Center. Margie will be laid to rest in the Rapid River Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Martin Evangelical Lutheran Church.
