John Paul “Jack” Frost

John Paul “Jack” Frost, age 84, of Gladstone, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 30, 2017, at Bellin Health Systems in Green Bay.

Jack was born September 27, 1932, in Gladstone, the son of Henry and Jeanette (Broeckaert) Frost. He was a 1950 graduate of Escanaba High School.
On February 5, 1953, Jack enlisted in the United States Army where he served with the famous 5th Army Band, as a saxophone musician, during the Korean War conflict. He was honorably discharged on January 25, 1956.
On August 24, 1957, Jack was united in marriage to the former Elaine Marie Tousignant, at Sacred Heart Church in Schaffer, and together the couple raised 5 children and have been married for nearly 60 years.
Jack went on to graduate from Northern Michigan University with a degree in education in 1961. Throughout the course of his career he taught business education at Nahma schools, Hermansville schools and finally at Gladstone High School for many years. He retired in 1991.
He was a member of the Escanaba City Band for many years and participated with many local dance bands. Jack enjoyed playing golf, watching football and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Elaine, Jack is survived by:
Children: John (Marcie) Frost, Jeffrey M. Frost, Jeanne M. Frost,
Jamie (Rob) Frost-Jensen and James P. (Cecile) Frost
Grandchildren: John Bichler, Tyler Frost, Jeffrey Frost, Brittany Frost,
and Paige Jensen
Great Grandsons: John and Jordan Bichler Step Grandchildren: Dustin (Ally) Viau, Kasey, Alex and Zach Jeffries

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Jeannette and his sister, Kay DeShambo.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of Jack’s family.

    My sympathy to Elaine and Jack’s entire family. I taught with Jack for many years at Gladstone High School. I remember him fondly as one of “the guys” in the lounge and sharing many stories and jokes with him. He was a dedicated teacher and a great guy. May he Rest In Peace.

    So sorry for your loss. Our condolences to the entire Frost family. I know Jack will be greatly missed by many.

    Rest In Peace Uncle Jack. You will surely be missed as you were at every family function all my life. I will always remember all the good holiday times our families spent together. The swimming at your house on ford river are some of the fondest memories I have. Also you were my typing teacher in high school. I enjoyed having you as an Uncle and Teacher. May you find eternal peace Uncle Jack❤️
