John “Jack” Majestic

John “Jack” Majestic, age 94, of Gladstone, MI passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Pinecrest Medical Facility in Powers, MI.

Jack was born March 9, 1923 in Gladstone, MI., the son of John and Theresa (Marowich) Majestic. He attended school there, joined the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) during the Depression, and joined the Army in WWII. He served as an MP and a radio operator in Alaska during his time served.

His adult life was spent in Chicago, raising his family, and working management in a Buick dealership. At retirement, Jack returned to Gladstone where he met Betty and settled down in the house his parents built, where he was born. He was a member of the Gladstone American Legion post 71 and an avid dartball player on their team.

In addition to his loving wife, Betty (Masta) Majestic, he is survived by his children: Jeffrey (Patricia) Majestic of Saint Charles, IL.
Ronald (Debby Russo) Majestic of Hawthorn Woods, IL.
Diane (Peter) Kretchmer of San Francisco, CA.
Jim (Maribeth) Salomon,
Scott (Janet) Salomon,
Elizabeth (Hugh) Maclachlan,
Tess (Tracy Piper) Brazeau
1 Brother: James Majestic of Gwinn, MI
17 Grandchildren
11 Great grandchildren
And many Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by:
2 Brothers: Casimir and Rudy Majestic
And 1 Sister: Pauline Peterson

Family will receive friends Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 10 AM until Noon at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Military Honors will be presented by the Gladstone American Legion at Noon. Funeral Services for Jack will follow Military Honors with Rev. Fr. Brian Gerber officiating at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. A luncheon will follow services at the Gladstone American Legion. Jack will be laid to rest in Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association. The Majestic family would like to especially thank the staff at Pinecrest Medical Facility and Dickinson Memorial Hospital for the compassion and care given to Jack and his loved ones. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Majestic family.
