Mom – will think of our hand in hand chats every time I walk the beach or back road . . . you are a special lady, mother and best friend. Miss you!

Mom always putting her family first and always looking at the good in every situation. We were all lucky to have such a wonderful giving Mother. You will forever be in my thoughts. Love you so much

    Dear Rick,
So sorry to hear of your loss! The day will come when you will see her again and that time …. she will be perfectly whole! Praying for you and the family/friends. May God’s Shalom encompass you all!

Joan, You were the best mother-in-law any daughter-in-law could ever ask for. You were the most loving, patient and caring person I have ever meet. Your God given Talents and Love of Occupational Service of helping others was used to touch many lives. You are truly an Angel!!! Lots of Love, Hugs and Kisses.

Mom, we will miss you everyday, but smile as we remember all of the love and good times. You gave so much of yourself to all of us.
    I love you.

My deep sympathy and condolences on the loss of your fine Mom. You were blessed to have her! Joan was a treasure and her patient, loving, and knowledgeable ways had a lasting effect on families with children with disabilities. I will cherish the many years we worked as colleagues at Children’s Development Center in Rockford, Illinois. I learned so very much from her! My family also remembers the wonderful visit we enjoyed with your parents at their beach home in Escanaba.

Praying that The Lord will comfort, strengthen and sustain you. “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

    With much love and prayers.

My deepest sympathy at the loss of your wonderful Mother. It was my extreme privilege to work with her as a team-mate at Children’s Development Center early in my career. She was an extraordinary mentor who taught me so much with regard to the care and treatment of young clients and their families—-I often felt that I learned more from Joan than I had in most of my university studies. Joan’s love, understanding, sensitivity, patience, positive attitude and exceptional therapy skills made a tremendous impact on the lives of many special needs children and their families and also the many professionals with whom she teamed. She leaves a wonderful legacy.

You were extremely blessed to have Joan for your Mom. I pray that God will comfort you with many wonderful memories of her, and that He will grant you strength and peace at this time. Thanks be to God for the blessing that Joan was to her family and to so many others.
